Virat Kohli escapes a plumb lbw appeal

January 31, 2017

Virat Kohli and his men were the winners in the second game of the t20 series. Kohli was lucky to have some really good chances in the game and that made him and his side bounce back in the match. England could have done the same but they did not.

Kohli was not given lbw and that was his first lucky break. Chris Jordan had him here but the umpire did not give this out. This ball was bowled at a high pace and it was going straight towards the stumps. The umpire still missed this one and made England players frustrated.

Kohli played this one across the line. He misread the bounce on this one. He knew that he was going across on this one but he was confident about the bounce. The ball did not get the bounce which Kohli expected and this was very close. In fact it was out the moment the ball made an impact of his pads.
Jordan and team England were certain about it. They all made a huge appeal but the umpire remain unmoved. At the end it was he who could have given Kohli out or not out and he went with not out. This was a big disappointment for the England side. They were not expecting this. Kohli got his lucky break though.

Reason behind loss ??

January 24, 2017
Pakistan now has officially lost the series by losing this match. We can blame the defensive captaincy and our worst fielding efforts but this is not it. Pakistan cricket management has done some blunders in those matters which were critical for Pakistan performance.

In the recent past, Pakistan test team was No 1 !! For the short period of time but they were. Its just because Pakistan has played most of its matches in UAE and that was the main reason behind our wins but our ODI team was as worst as it is now.

We can point many things which are currently going wrong like domestic cricket structure maybe to some extent lack of talent and fitness but in past, It was the same domestic structure which produced Wasim Akram, Waqar Younus, Javed Miandad, Inzamam -ul- Haq and so on. I think this is not the worry for us. We have talent !! If we go back when Misbah-ul-Haq was captain of Pakistan's ODI team then it all started. He chooses the style of defensive captaincy and in my opinion on that era, cricket was changing from a defensive approach to aggression. 300 was more frequently made by teams and chased by. But we carry on like that and Misbah-Ul-Haq left the team on 7th. Yes, we were 7th ranked ODI team when Misbah-Ul-Haq left the captaincy.

Then with the discussion of Misbah-ul-Haq Cricket board made the decision to make Azhar Ali the captain of ODI team remember he was not the permanent member of the team. His 1st series against Bangladesh was the total disaster and Pakistan lost the series for the 1st time against Bangladesh in cricket history. Azhar ali continued as captain and won series against Srilanka in Srilanka which was a good win but Kumar Sangakkara & Mahela Jayawardene both were retired but a win is win. He continued and Pakistan managed to lose yet another series against England all hands down. Record Score of 444 made against Pakistan sloppy bowling and yes totally defensive captaincy and Pakistan lost that series. WestIndies series was the 3-0 win for Pakistan but Westindies team was playing with there half strength. Some of the players were injured and some of them were out of the team because of their board issues. And now this Australian tour ends for Pakistan if we talk about series. Pakistan lost the test series 3-0 and ODI series is still in progress but 3-1 is enough as far as series is a concern.

To summarise this article the need for time is to change the command of the team to some different and aggressive player because cricket is changing fast. For that Sarfaraz Ahmed is the only option for Pakistan as he is currently leading Pakistan cricket team in T20 as well.

Find out who will be the next captain of pakistan cricket team ?

January 24, 2017

Pakistan’s senior batsman Azhar Ali is set to lose his captaincy in ODIs but will be appointed as captain of the Test team after the retirement of veteran Misbah-ul-Haq.
According to insiders aware of ongoing developments in the Pakistan Cricket Board, chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has advised the chairman of the PCB, Shahryar Khan, to appoint wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed as captain of the ODI side for the tour to West Indies in March-April.
“Inzamam has tried to convince the PCB chairman and other high officials off some radical changes required in the national team setup after the disastrous tour to Australia,” one well-informed source told PTI.
He said it had been decided that the PCB chairman and the chief selector would be having a talk with both Misbah and senior batsman Younis Khan soon to let them know about the board’s future plans.
“It has been decided in principle that Misbah would be advised to undertake the Test tour to West Indies as captain and announce his retirement and go out gracefully while Younis would also be advised to call it a day after he completes his 10,000 Test runs probably in the three tests in the West Indies,” another source said.
He said it had been decided in principle that after the West Indies tour, Azhar would take over as Test captain.
“But Sarfaraz will be appointed as the captain of the one-day squad before the West Indies tour in addition to his responsibility as captain of the national T20 side.”

England Vs India | 3rd Odi |2017 | Indian Commentary On Indian Lost – Thrilling Last Over

January 23, 2017

India has lost the third and final ODI of the series. This is the first win for England on this tour and they had to sweat hard for this one as well. Indian gave them a great fight but in the end they just could not reach the winning line.

In the last over England had to defend 16 runs and they were hit for 10 on the first two balls. Jadhav hit a six and a four to start the over and at that point it was Indian winning. Woakes then made a comeback and took Jadhav out and eventually won the game for England.

Umar Akmal brilliant hit against Faulkner, 3rd Odi 2017

January 21, 2017
Pakistan middle order batsman Umar Akmal has been criticized for his slow batting in the third ODI against Australia. Umar Akmal consumed too many balls and could not hit boundaries at a stage when his team needed him to fire.

Umar Akmal hit only one six in his innings and from a batsman of his caliber this is quite below average from him. The six itself showed that he could have hit the ball like this a lot of time. Umar Akmal timed this to perfection and the ball went deep into the stands.

The ball was pitched at a normal length and Umar stretched his front leg to the line of the ball and timed it from the middle. This ball went a long way. There is no doubt that this was a perfect shot from Umar. One of the few shots which he did play in the right way.
Umar Akmal batting was below average. In death overs he was seen taking singles despite being well settled. This was not good cricket from him at all. He should have easily managed boundaries which the wicket was offering. Apart from the odd bounce happening once in an over rest the batting was not that difficult on this pitch. Umar Akmal should have gone for more hits. He was settled and that mattered a lot at the end as we saw the results.
