Team India Historic win in 1st Test Against Australia

The Adelaide Oval ground has brought a massive fortune for Indian national cricket team as they got incredible victory over the Aussies by 31 runs in the first of ongoing 4 test match series. The tour of Indian cricket team scheduled from November 2018 to January 2019 to play 3 T20 international (T20), 3 One day International (ODI’s) and 4 Test matches. The year 2018 has loaded Indian test cricket team with truckload of records as they got historic win in 1st Test against Australia after long awaited 10 years and became the first Asian team to win test match in Australia, South Africa, and England in the same calendar year, making Kohli the first Asian captain to reach this milestone.

The venture for hunting kangaroos rolled out in Thursday when Virat Kohli decided to bat first after winning the toss and tossed up a total of 250 runs in the first innings in 88.0 overs which seemed a bit low for the strongest batting line up in the world cricket. Josh Hazelwood remained the devastating bowler in the first innings with his 3 wickets and an economy rate of just 2.6 followed by Michell Stark forcing 2 Indian batsmen back to the pavilion in no time. The whole outlook of the match turned around by the magnificent bowling performance by the Jaspreet Bumrah who was able to tuck off 3 Australian batsmen earlier in the innings having an economy rate below 2, enabling India to successfully restrict Aussies to 235 runs in 98.4 overs. India started their second innings with a lead of 15 runs over rivals and managed to reach a total of 307 runs in 106.5 overs leaving Australia to chase an enormous total of 323 runs that could have the highest chased target in Adelaide Oval. In pursuit of chasing a giant total, Australians encountered some early glitches when Aron Finch got LBW by Ishant Sharma in the 2nd ball of 1st over which ended up being a clear “NO” ball. The top order of Australian batting lineup collapsed.

as they received the first shock of 1st wicket in just 28 runs. Aron Finch was able to score 11 runs, followed by Marcus Hurries and Osman Khawaja with 26 and 8 runs respectively. The odds stacked up against India when Shaun March notched up a much-needed half-century which gave rattled Australian batting lineup a hope but unfortunately dismissed by Bumrah just before lunch break.
All the Aussies batsmen were all out by the Indian bowlers in 119.5 overs scoring a total of 291 runs giving India a historic win in a 1st test match by 31 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara was rewarded as the man of the match as his 123 in first innings and 71 in the second provided India with a solid target of 323.
